The Slovak Society for Computer Science (SSCS) has published its official position on the European Strategy for Artificial Intelligence in Science in preparation!

In its statement, SSCS emphasizes the importance of responsible and transparent use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in scientific research.

Key recommendations include:

✅ Clearly identifiable personal responsibility for AI usage,
✅ Disclosure of where and how AI was used, including trustworthiness of the outcomes, 
✅ Open access to training data to allow independent verification of results, 
✅ Adherence to ethical standards and GDPR, 
✅ Minimization of bias caused by inappropriate training datasets, 
✅ Support for research into Explainable AI.

"Artificial Intelligence is like fire – it can be useful, but also dangerous if misused. Therefore, responsibility and clear rules for its use are essential".
